Accounting Agent Platform

Terms of Service

Last updated October 17, 2026

These terms are a contract between you and [Company legal name] for Accounting Agent Platform.

Who we are

[Company legal name] ("we", "us") operates Accounting Agent Platform at https://accounting-agent-platform.vercel.app. We are a small startup based in the United States. The platform trains and checks remote bookkeeping talent. Learners work through bookkeeping simulations in which an accounting agent suggests treatments. The learner decides whether to accept, correct, or escalate each suggestion. Approved reviewer firms grade that work.

Firms can read public talent profiles, verify credentials, post open roles, and run a cohort. A firm sees a learner's email and simulation submissions only after that learner applies to the firm's role or joins a cohort that firm runs. These terms cover the website, accounts, simulations, profiles, credentials, open roles, cohorts, and paid plans. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and what stays private.

Accounts and eligibility

Signed-in features need an account. Sign-in is provided by Clerk. After you sign in, you choose a learner account or a firm account. That choice is permanent for the signed-in account.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. The service is not for children. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.

The public home page has a learner waitlist. It asks for a name and an email address. Joining the waitlist does not create an account and does not reserve a paid seat.

Acceptable use

  • Use the product for training, verification, and the hiring workflow it provides.
  • Do not share your account, try to open someone else's account, or bypass an access limit.
  • Do not scrape private data, raw submissions, email addresses, or payment details.
  • Do not upload malware, flood the waitlist, or use the service to harass anyone.
  • Do not post a role that is fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful.
  • Do not present a simulation score, a certificate, or an AI suggestion as a license to practice accounting.

Learner and firm responsibilities

Learners decide what to do with each suggested treatment. A score or a credential records practice on this platform. It is not a job offer, and it is not a promise that a firm will review your work or hire you.

[Company legal name] is not a staffing agency, an employment agency, or your employer. Firms make their own hiring decisions. We do not employ learners on behalf of firms, and we do not guarantee employment, an interview, or that any person is qualified for a particular job. An open role, a firm interest, a cohort seat, or a review is not an offer of employment unless the firm makes that offer itself.

Learner work is reviewed by approved reviewer firms. A review is a training record on this platform. It is not tax advice, and it is not a reference that we issue for the firm. Applying to a firm's role, or joining a cohort that firm runs, lets that firm see your email and your simulation submissions. Until one of those happens, the firm does not get your email or raw submissions.

Subscriptions, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds

Paid plans are billed by Stripe. We do not store your card number. Prices below are in US dollars.

  • Learner plan: $29 per month. It is the plan for keeping a public profile active and taking simulations.
  • Firm plan: $499 per year. It is the plan for results and candidate pools. It includes 10 job posts a month. Each additional post is $19.
  • Pilot cohort: a one-time seat for Pilot cohort 1 is $499.

A subscription renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in the Stripe Customer Portal. Manage billing in the product opens that portal.

You can cancel anytime. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not refund the unused part of a period, except where the law requires a refund. [Editable: confirm this refund policy with counsel before launch.]

The same refund rule applies to the one-time pilot cohort seat. We do not refund part of that seat, except where the law requires a refund.

We may change prices for a future period. A change does not alter a period you have already paid for. Stripe may add tax when the law requires it.

Content and intellectual property

We own the platform, the teaching module, the simulation scenarios, the certificate format, and the site. Scenario text may be written by us or generated for us.

You keep ownership of the answers, notes, profile text, and role text you submit. You give us a license to host that material, score it, show it to reviewers who are allowed to see it, and display the public summary you choose to make public. The license lasts for as long as we need it to run the service and to keep records the law requires.

Do not copy the scenario bank, resell access, or remove notices that identify our material. We may use feedback you send us to improve the product.

AI-generated content

Simulations can include treatments suggested by an accounting agent. We use the OpenAI API to generate practice scenarios. Suggestions and generated scenarios can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date.

Content on the platform is not professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. Do not rely on it to file a return, close a real set of books, decide a hire, or make a legal decision. You are responsible for your own judgment.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that a score is free of errors, or that a firm will hire you.

To the fullest extent the law allows, [Company legal name] is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or hiring outcomes. Our total liability for a claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Some states do not allow certain limitations. In those states, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and cancel a paid plan as described above. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, creates risk for other people, or that we are required to close. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.

Changes

We may update these terms. The last updated date on this page will change when we do. The current date is October 17, 2026. If you keep using the service after an update, the new terms apply. When a change is material, we will post the updated terms on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in [Governing law state] are the venue for disputes, except where a law that cannot be waived requires a different venue.
